Quality Inn & Suites Gallup I-40 Exit 20

The room was clean and comfortable. For me, the bed and shower are the most important things in a hotel room. So at least the bed was comfy with good pillows. However, for some reason we were put in a handicap room. So there’s a very tiny up ramp up to the shower, and then a tiny down ramp into it. The shower was huge, so you had to walk all the way into it get to the hose (no mounted shower head). The water took a significant time to warm up. And there was a problem with the hose connector, so not only did I have freezing cold water from the hose, but also shooting out from the connector, which was just about at my face level! That was the quickest wake-up I ever had from a shower! Also, there was no soap holder, no wash rag hooks or anything in the shower. There was, however, a shower chair and guard rails on every wall! Funny side note, we heard classical music all night long. In the morning we discovered it was coming from the adjacent parking lot for Home Depot or something! 😂

When I say this is one of the worse places I've ever stayed. I mean it was terrible... no hot water, room was run down, loud the heater would literally wake you up when it kicked on. Bed was like sleeping on plywood. I've stayed at some real dumps all over this country, but none of them were a choice hotel. Thank the lord I used points for this visit or I would have felt either violated or robbed. Seriously do not stay at this place. The staff was great and certainly accommodating for 130 am, but wow was it awful.

Would not recommend! Front desk staff was unwilling to give us a handicapped room (my aunt has a broken ankle and can’t walk). Was told there was only 1 such room, but a quick walk around the premises shows there were at least 4. All rooms are accessed via the outside. Very rude, didn’t make us sign a pet waiver, which she was supposed to have done. The rates on Expedia were drastically different than what we were charged. Says $20/pet, but we were charged $35/pet. Door to room was difficult to lock, no locks on the windows (on the first floor). Emergency exit plan was incorrect for the room I stayed in. If I could rate 0 stars I would. Even the wifi password suggested that they deserve a 10.
